Lillie Belle Evans, age 93, passed away Aug. 14, 2014, at Cottage of the Shoals, Tuscumbia, Alabama, after an extended illness.
She was a native of Cherokee, Alabama and a member of the First Baptist Church, Cherokee, Alabama.
A memorial service will be at Morrison Funeral Home, Cherokee, Alabama, on Saturday Aug. 16, 2014. Visitation will be 10 am until noon followed by a service at noon. Reverend Morris Kennedy and Dr. Frank Whitaker, nephew, will officiate.
Lillie Belle was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Evans, her son, Don Evans, and parents, John and Elizabeth Whitaker; also by five brothers, Johnny, Charlie, Jesse, Ellis, and Ernest Whitaker, and two sisters, Edna Talley and Bessie Enlow.
She is survived by grandsons, Jeff Evans and Russell Evans, and two great-grandchildren.
Friends will serve as pallbearers.
