Lillie Bell Emerson, age 78, passed away November 28, 2021 in Memphis TN.
She was born and reared in Chester County, Masseyville Community, the daughter of the late Charlie Bell Marcle Parker and Joseph Carl Parker, Jr. She attended school in Chester County and graduated from CCHS. She was married to Dennis Emerson in 1963. They made their home in Phillips School Community of Chester County. He preceded her in death February 5, 2015. She was employed by Jackson Madison County Health Department as a clerk and retired in 2005.
She was a member of Cave Springs Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son, Dwight Emerson of Henderson; two nieces, Deonna Bennett of Finger and Tammy Thomas of Henderson; two nephews, Joey Parker and Josh Parker; and grandchild, Kayla Emerson.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dennis Emerson; and brother, Jackie Parker.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue Chapel with Bro. Ken Frye officiating. Burial will follow at Cave Springs Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 2:00 PM service time Wednesday at Crook Avenue Chapel. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital.
