Ms. Lillian Ann Barnes, age 78, of the Morgan City Area, passed away on Monday, December 13, 2021.
Ms. Barnes was born on January 20, 1943, in North Baltimore, Ohio, to Clayton Virgil and Lenore Irene Miller Bowen. She worked production in a factory. Ms. Barnes attended Rescue United Methodist Church. She loved the simple things in life, walking, collecting rocks, going to church, and always made time to help others. But most of all she loved her grandchildren and spending time with them and her family.
Ms. Barnes leaves behind sons, Raymond Barnes II (Darla), Christopher Barnes (Renee); daughters, Lori Schwartz (Mike), Tammy McClellan (Robert), Collette Barnes, Shaun Shidler, Melani Dent (John); brothers, Sam Bowen (Helen), James Bowen; sister Florence Billings; 13 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren.
Ms. Barnes is preceded in death by her parents, Clayton and Lenore Bowen and 5 siblings.
A Visitation will be held at Rescue United Methodist Church in Morgan City on Sunday, December 19, 2021, from 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. with a Memorial Service to follow at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Jarod Andrews officiating the service.
