Lila M. Schrimsher, age 84, passed away Sunday. Lila was a native of Madison County and has lived in the area her entire life.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George & Emma Boyett, three sisters (Mary Harbin, Margaret (Tiney) Gardner and Lillie Lanier), two brothers (Oscar and Willie Boyett) and her husband Walter Schrimsher.
She is survived by her children, Charlotte Schrimsher of Harvest, Danny Schrimsher and wife Sharon of Madison, and Rhonda Schrimsher of Elkmont, her grandsons: Thomas Schrimsher and wife Jami of Grant and Phillip Schrimsher and wife Lauren of Fort Stewart, Georgia and six great-grandchildren, three brothers (Tom, Homer & Donnie Boyett), and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Spry Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends Tuesday 6:00 until 8:00 PM. Service will be held in Spry’s Chapel Wednesday at 2:00 PM with Rev. Donald Clem and Rev. William Pritchett officiating. Interment will follow at Huntsville Memory Gardens.
