LILA HARRISON
AUGUST 3, 1925 – APRIL 11, 2020
Lila Evelyn Harrison, 94, of Lester passed away on Saturday, April 11, 2020 at her residence.
She was born on August 3, 1925 in Limestone County, AL to Hampton MacKnight Harrison and Tinnie Alleen Hawkins.

Ms. Harrison had a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education and taught in the public school system for almost 40 years. She worked with the Learn to Read Council and was also a member of Delta Kappa Gamma. Ms. Harrison was also an active member of Craig’s Chapel Church of Christ for many years.

She is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, David Macknight Harrison and William Osmond Harrison, two sisters, Mary Francis Robinson and Helen Harrison, one nephew, Mike Harrison and one Niece, Dianne Robinson.

She is survived by five nephews, Phillip Harrison, Randy Harrison, Tony Harrison, Ben Harrison and Dan Harrison and seven nieces, Lynn Foust, Barb Harrison, Jenny Long, Sharon Willis, Gwen Robinson, Theresa Tucker and Shelia Eady.

Pallbearers will be Danny Long, Phillip Harrison, Tony Harrison, Dan Harrison, Randy Harrison, and Ben Harrison.

There will be a Graveside Service on Tuesday, April 14, 2020 at New Salem Cemetery at 11:00AM with Bro. Mike Johnson officiating.

Memorials may also be made to Delta Kappa Gamma and Learn to Read.
