Mrs. Lila Dean Chambers, age 82 of Athens, AL passed away on Friday, May 3, 2019 at Limestone Health Facility. Mrs. Chambers was born on December 6, 1936 in Athens, AL to Lewis Kraus and Leona Compton Kraus.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Walter Kraus, Phillip Kraus and Huey Kraus.
Mrs. Chambers is survived by her husband, Paul “Buddy” Chambers; children, Greg Chambers (Sandra), Bill Chambers and Linda Chambers; grandchildren, Joseph Chambers and Braley Chambers and great-grandchild, Madeline Grace Chambers.
She loved watching her grandchildren’s sports and enjoyed gardening and fishing.
Services for Mrs. Chambers will be at 3:00PM on Monday, May 6, 2019 at Central Church of Christ with Bill Perkins officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:45PM at the church. Burial will be in Athens City Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Joseph Chambers, Braley Chambers, Cliff Smith, Don Williams, Steve McCormick and Greg McCormick.
