FLORENCE-On Friday, December 2nd ‘Every Light a Prayer for Peace’ ceremony will be at Pope’s Tavern Friday at 6 pm.
This peace ceremony that opens the holiday season in the Shoals has been observed at Pope’s Tavern since 1961. “Every Light a Prayer for Peace,” coordinated by the Florence Garden Council, was initiated to honor active military and veterans whose efforts strive to bring peace to our nation and to continue prayer for the spread of peace throughout the world.
