Lewis G. Mills – Obituary

Lewis G. Mills, of Decatur, went to be with the Lord on July 27, 2018. Visitation will be on Friday, August 3, 2018, at 1 p.m. and the service will be at 2 p.m., both at First Bible Church with Pastor Steve Bateman officiating. Inurnment will follow at Roselawn Cemetery.

Lewis is survived in death by his wife, Janice Mills; his brother, David Michael Mills; his children, Cynthia Mills Marr (Jack), Michael Mills, Keith Mills (Michelle) and Theresa Belk; eight grandchildren, Mary Kate Ahn (Wooseok), John Connor Marr, Anneliese Marr, Adam Mills (Cheyenne), Avery Mills, Sam Marr, Addison Mills and Phoebe Marr; and great-grandchild, Lilo Ahn.

Lewis was born in Burnet, Texas, and moved to Huntsville as a teenager, graduating from Huntsville High School. Lewis was an Air Force veteran, then a corporate pilot for 35 years. He was also a member of the Civil Air Patrol and a flight instructor. Lewis and his wife Janice were married for 52 and a half years and were members of First Bible Church for 25 years.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the ALS Foundation, the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation or the First Bible Church Vision 2020 project. Roselawn Funeral Home is assisting the family.
