Graveside services for Lewis Ellis Matkin, Sr., 82 of Columbus, MS will be at 11 a.m., Friday, February 21, 2014 at Cullman City Cemetery, Rev. Etsel Riddle officiating.
Cullman Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Matkin passed away Monday, February 17, 2014 at OCH Regional Hospital in Starkville, MS. He was born December 16, 1931 to Pierce Barkley & Nelle Mae Garris Matkin.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Margie Matkin; a brother, Allen Matkin: and a sister, Carolyn Matkin.
Survivors include a son, Lewis E. (Gorana) Matkin, Jr.; a daughter, Lucinda (Joseph) Stiene; special friend, Helga Ashcraft; two grandchildren, Victoria and Brandon Stiene; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Visitation will be Thursday evening at the funeral home from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.
