OI2126899517_cohenA Celebration of Life for Levert Cohen, 49 of Decatur will be 1:30 pm, Sunday at Bethlehem Primitive Baptist Church with Pastor Antwan Plott officiating and inhumation to follow in Sterrs Cemetery. The body will lie in repose thirty minutes prior to funeral. Public Viewing will be Friday from 10-7 at Reynolds Funeral Home.

Levert Cohen was born May 5, 1965 in Lawrence County to Pervis and Emma Jean Thorne Cohen. He departed his earthly life on December 2, 2014. Levert was a very loving person who cared about people and loved to make them laugh. He was a proud organ donor and left someone his bright eyes to see the beautiful world as he did. He confessed his life to Christ at an early age and became a member of Bethlehem P.B. Church.

Levert was preceded in death by his father, Pervis Cohen.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory; two daughters, Miracle Taylor and My’Osha Cohen both of Decatur, AL; a caring mother Emma Jean Cohen of Hillsboro AL; two sisters, Jacquline Cowley of Nashville, TN, and Tracy Cohen of Weptumka, AL; three brothers, David Cohen (Deanna) of McDoungh, GA, Ronnie Cohen (Lucy) of Hillsboro, AL and Ray Campbell (Ivie) of Madison, AL; A loving and special one; Cylesteen Toney of Decatur, AL; a devoted friend, Ricky Mason also of Decatur, AL; several aunts and uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
