Lester Donald Paseur, 81, of New Hope, passed away Wednesday.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Winfred and Hazel Turner Paseur, four brothers, Winfred, Jr., Thomas, Conward and Roy, three sisters, Blanche Self, Mary Hughes and Julian Paseur.
Surviving are daughters, Nikole Fogus (Bradley) of Decatur, AL and Donna Kay Baskins (John) of Tempe, AZ, four grandchildren (Zachery and Ethan Brady and David and Cody Baskins), one brother, Turner Paseur (Geraldine) of Montgomery, AL, one sister, Louise (Catarino) Buenrrostro of McDonough, GA. and Rachel O’Neal, friend and helper of New Hope.
Visitation will be Friday 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at New Hope Funeral Home. Services will be held at New Hope Funeral Home Chapel, Saturday at 2:00 pm with Rev. Gary Paseur officiating.
Mr. Paseur enlisted in the United States Navy shortly after graduating from New Hope High School. He retired with the rank of Master Chief Petty Officer after 23 years of service, including three tours of duty during the Vietnam war.
Interment will be in the Walker Cemetery.
