Leroy Rogers, 68, passed away Thursday, July 14, 2016, at the Courtyards Community Living Center. He was born June 22, 1948, in Itawamba County to Gordie M. and Pauline Williams Rogers. He did carpentry work until his retirement when he began his true passion of antique collecting. He was a Baptist in belief. He enjoyed going to the Huddle House and talking with his friends.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 16, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Fulton with Bro. Blake Buchanan and Bro. Robert Humphres officiating. Burial will be in the Liberty Cemetery near Fairview.
Survivors include three sons, Tracy Rogers (Tami) of Mantachie, Trevor Rogers (Pam) of Nashville, TN, and Brandon Pace of Fulton; two daughters, Teresa Nykanen of Hamilton, AL, and Leanna Prestage (Shawn) of Fulton; four brothers, Vernon Rogers, Larry Rogers, and Freeman Rogers, all of Fulton, and Eddie Rogers of Florida; four sisters, Vick Lindley and Lanell Rodgers, both of Fulton, Susie O’Neal of Georgia, and Debbie Lawson of Florida; several grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Earnie, Trice, and Troy Rogers; and one grandson, Cole Rogers.
His nephews will serve as pallbearers.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, July 15, at the funeral home.
