Mr. Leonard Turner 74, of Town Creek died July 2, 2013 at Helen Keller Hospital. His funeral will be Saturday, July 6th. at 1:00 here at our funeral home. Burial will follow in Ebenezer Cemetery on Al. Hwy. 101 here in Town Creek.
Mr. Leonard E. Turner was the son of the late Orange and Aggie Cooper. He was employed at Reynolds Aluminum for 25 years where he retired giving him leasure time to work as a farm helper with Pruitt Mauldin Farming.
“Boo” as he was lovingly known to family and “Stud” as he was fondly known as to friends, always enjoyed visiting family and friends for good conversation.
Leonard was preceded in death by 1 daughter; Angela P. Turner. He married Frances L. Turner and to this union 7 children were born. He leaves to cherish his memory 3 sons; Bruce L. Turner (Pamela) of Austell, GA, Tiris R. Turner (Teresa) of Powder Springs, GA, Dexter D. Turner of Town Creek, AL., 3 daughters; Detural L. Crutch (Terry) of Sheffield, AL, Debra D. Brown (Cleveland) of Town Creek, AL., and Tiffany L. Nance (Montrel) of Athens, AL., 1 step-son; Kenneth Langham of Town Creek, AL., 3 brothers; Emmitt Turner of Town Creek, AL., Willie Frank Cooper (Sylvia) of Gretna, LA and Onnie Cooper (Jeannie) of Muscle Shoals, AL., 3 sisters; Edna Reed of Muscle Shoals, AL., Annie Turner of Dover, MA. and Willie Neva King (Earl) of Courtland, AL., 1 aunt; NaEster Sanders of St. Louis, MO., 20 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and a special friend, Susie Mae King, a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
