Leonard “Sonny” Garner, 66, of Tuscumbia, Ala., passed away on May 31, 2013. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, June 4, 2013, at 2 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel. Speaking will be Holly Garner. Mr. Garner was a Vietnam veteran and a member of the VFW in Sheffield, Ala.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Ethel Garner, and his sister, Dorothy “Dot” Davis.
He is survived by his sons, Bryan Garner, Brian Russ (Gail); daughters, Holly Garner, Sherry Camp (Ricky); grandchildren, Kaylee Beard, Cameron Garner, Brittany Camp, Jessica Camp, Zachary Russ, Wesley Russ; and three great-grandchildren; nieces, Lisha Pennington, Chanda Davis, Amanda Davis, Ashley Lovelace; nephews, Cass Davis, Chase Pennington; ex-wives, Sherry Garner, Kathy Randolph; and girlfriend, Linda England.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the full staff of the ICU unit at Helen Keller Hospital. The family also asks that any memorials be made to the VFW in Sheffield, Ala.
