Leonard Jordan Leonard Jackson Jordan age 91, of Arab passed away Sunday June 20, 2021, at Shepherd’s Cove Inpatient Hospice Facility. Mr. Jordan was born on Sept. 19, 1929, in Oxford, AL the Son of Herbert and Leona Adams Jordan. He was a graduate of Anniston High School and attended Jacksonville State University. He served in the US Army from 1950-1952, spending a year in Korea. Mr. Jordan worked in appliance businesses in Anniston and Huntsville and later went to work with NASA as a Maintenance Technician and worked in that position until he retired. He was a longtime member and Deacon of Rocky Mount Primitive Baptist Church and also served as the Church Clerk for many years. He was married on April 23, 1952, to the former Irene Blackwood who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his Daughter: Sharon Jordan Leach; Brother: Earl Jordan; Sisters: Betty Rogers and Dorothy Maze. Mr. Jordan married the former Rose Ann Lovett on May 11, 2011. Survivors include his Wife: Ann Wood Jordan of Texas; Sons: Tony (Melissa) Jordan of Huntsville, Terry (Janet) Jordan of Arab, Mark (Kelly) Jordan of Hendersonville, TN and Matthew (Mitzie) Jordan of Arab; Sisters: Sarah Voss of Sanford, Florida, Billie (Tom) May of San Antonio, TX, Joyce Romeo of Quinton, AL and Jimmie (Ken) Mize of Arab; Grandchildren: Anthony Jordan, Sarah (Tripp) Bradley, Anna (Andrew) Alaniz, Leanne Jordan, Rachel (Philip) Buck, Holly (Will) Roberson, Betsy (Ridge) Watson and Riley Grace (Joshua) Hooven; 15 Great Grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and a host of friends. Funeral Service will be Thursday June 24, 2021, at 11 AM at Rocky Mount Primitive Baptist Church with Elder Matthew Jordan officiating. Burial will follow in Brookwood Cemetery with Gober Funeral Chapel directing. Pallbearers will be: Anthony Jordan, Bryson Jordan, Andrew Alaniz, Danny Wood, David Wood and Phil Buck. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Deacons of Rocky Mount Primitive Baptist Church. Visitation will be Wed. from 6-8 PM at Rocky Mount Primitive Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Shepherd’s Cove Hospice, 408 Martling Rd. Albertville, AL 35951.
