Mr. Leonard “Hoyte” Carver, 82, of Muscle Shoals, passed away Thursday Feb. 7, 2013. His family will receive friends for visitation tonight from 5-7 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel. The funeral will begin at 11 a.m. Monday in the funeral home chapel. Burial will follow in Colbert Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Carver served for over 30 years as an active member of the Cahaba Shriners Temple in Huntsville. He was also a past Potentate. He has served in the Masonic Lodge, and Lion’s Club locally. He was also a veteran of the United States Air Force.
He is survived by his daughter, Donna Carver Kiefer; grandchildren, Joseph “Brannon” Maner (Kristin), and Leslie Shannon Maner; and great-granddaughter, Caroline Maner.
