leonardLeonard “Gene” Johnson 79 of Muscle Shoals, passed away July 20, 2014.
Visitation will be Wednesday July 23, from 12-2 pm at Colbert Memorial Chapel, with services to follow at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel. Burial will be in Colbert Memorial Gardens. Brother Greg Willis and Brother Thomas Thornton officiating.

He was preceded in death by his parents; George and Bertha Johnson, brother; G.W. Johnson and sister-in-law; Elaine Johnson.

Survivors include his wife of 57 wonderful years, Camilla Johnson.
Honorary grandson ; Tyler Fritzie, and a host of special loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Pallbearers will be Wes Emmons, Peary Willard, Mac Letson, J.B. Meadows, Ronnie Phillips and Brian Young. Honorary pallbearers are James Goins, Bob Smith and the Men’s Bible Class First Southern Baptist Church.

Mr. Johnson was retired from Reynolds Metals Company after 42 years of loyal service. A member of First Southern Baptist Church of Muscle Shoals, where he was also a Sunday School Teacher for many years.

He was the first President of Muscle Shoals Exchange Club.
Gene loved his God, his family and his country. His word was the Golden Rule, if he said it , he meant it. He had many friends and never met a stranger.
