Leonard Crowe Jr of Hazel Green passed away peacefully on Sunday at his home. He was 77. He was a hard worker who always provided for his family.  He had retired from Alabama Concrete after 30 years of employment.

Mr. Crowe was born on March 6, 1946 in Belle Mina, Alabama and lived the first half of his life in Limestone County.   He bought property in Hazel Green and had resided there for the last 34 years.  He and his wife had recently celebrated their 41st year of marriage but had been together for 43 years.

He was preceded in death by his two sons: Richard Todd Crowe and Leonard “Tooter” Crowe III; His grandson, Matthew Crowe.  By his parents, Leonard Crow Sr and Ellen Elizabeth Crowe;  His four brothers:  Talmadge, Buddy, Jay, and Bobby Crowe – all of Limestone County.

Leonard leaves behind his wife of 41 years, Marcia Crowe;  Two sons and daughters-in-law, Brian & Sandy Crowe and Travis & Hailey Crowe – all of Hazel Green;   He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Friends are invited to a celebration of life gathering on Saturday from 2pm to 4pm at Hazel Green Funeral Home.

Leonard will be remembered for his friendliness – never meeting anyone he didn’t consider his friend, and for his honesty, his sense of humor, and for his love for others.  He loved his home and was most-proud of his family.  His memory will live on in their hearts and in the memories of all those who loved him.
