Celebration of life service for Leona Faye Dixon, 83, are set for 1:00 p.m. Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Tuscumbia Baptist Church with Jonathan Marsh, Bro. Allen Parker and Bro. Rodney Whittemore officiating. Burial will follow in Tuscumbia Baptist Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be held Saturday from 11:00 until service time at the church.
Ms. Dixon died Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at her residence. She born Sunday, March 27, 1938 to the late Robert and Zonia Moss Rutherford. She was a member of Tuscumbia Baptist Church, a homemaker and enjoyed quilting.
Survivors include her brothers, L.C. Rutherford, James Rutherford; sisters, Nona Mullins, Ray Pittman, Nina McAllister and a host of nieces, nephews and other family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, R. V. Dixon; parents; brothers, Olen Rutherford, Bobby Rutherford, Johnny Rutherford; sisters-in-law, Irene Rutherford, Joyce Rutherford, Ollie Rutherford; brothers-in-law, Marlin Mullins, J.B. McAllister and Bill Pittman.
Pallbearers will be Jamie Rutherford, Phillip Rutherford, Randall Pittman, Christopher Crum, Michael Parker, Daryl Thrasher, Dustin Gifford and Bryant Marsh.
Arrangements are under the care of Memorial Funeral Home.
