Leon Shotts – Obituary

Leon Shotts, 85, Red Bay, passed away on Monday, October 21, 2013 at his residence.

Mr. Shotts loved playing music and was part of several bluegrass gospel bands. He had worked as a serviceman for L&L Propane Gas.

The visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral will be at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 24, 2013 at Spry Memorial Chapel. Officiating at the service will be Bro. Harold Ozbirn. Burial will be at Bethlehem Cemetery.

He is survived by wife of 30 years, Wanda Pennington Shotts; children, Randy Shotts (wife, Angie), Sarah Adair (husband, Tim), Richard Shotts (wife, Rhonda), Shannon Cochran (wife, Amy), Brian Cochran (wife, Vicky); grandchildren, Corey Shotts, David Adair, William Shotts, Mary Ann Shotts, Alisha Adair Melson, Tommy Lee Shotts, Amy Leathers; great-grandchild, Lila Katie Shotts; sister, Edgar Wright; and a host of nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Author & Lizzie (Brown) Shotts; 3 brothers, and 3 sisters.

The pallbearers will be David Adair, Andrew Melson, William Shotts, Tommy Lee Shotts, Corey Shotts, and Larry Smith.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the NW Mississippi Hospice, Dr. Christy Crandell and her staff; and the nurses and staff at Red Bay Hospital for your love and care.

Spry Memorial Chapel assisted the family.
