Mr. Leon Myles Swafford, age 76 of Huntsville, died Wednesday at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the son of the late Roland Ahva and Mattie (Lee) Swafford.
He was preceded in the death by his son, Bobby Swafford, brother, James Swafford, two sisters, Shirley Key and Barbara Ann Moore, and grandson, Jerry Swafford.
Mr. Swafford is survived by his loving wife Geraldine Swafford, son, Jimmy Swafford, three daughters, Robin Dean and husband Jerry, Kay McCauley and husband Paul, and Diana Taylor, and husband Mike, sister, Olene Faulkner and husband Edward, six granddaughters, Shiree Swafford, Bobbie Posey and husband Greg, Becky McCauley, Krissy McCauley, Brittany Taylor, and Brooke Taylor, eight great-grandchildren, Seth, Destiny, Leo, Delilah, Raven, Lily, Jerilee, and Jesse, and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Spry Funeral Home of Huntsville, where the family will receive friends from 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM Friday. A service will be held Saturday, May 24, 2014 at 10:00 AM at Spry Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Robert Sharp officiating. Interment will follow at Gurley City Cemetery in Gurley, AL.
