Leon Frank Crittenden, Sr. age 86, of Muscle Shoals, passed away on July 6, 2026, at Cypress Cove Nursing Home. The visitation will be 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Saturday, July 11, 2026, at Morrison Funeral Home in Tuscumbia. The service will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel with Bro. Bruce Blankenship officiating. The burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Tuscumbia.
Mr. Crittenden served his country in the U.S. National Guard. He attended River Road Church of Christ and was also a member of the Lions Club.
He is survived by his wife, Barbara Files Crittenden; children, Leon Crittenden, Jr. (Angela), Darrel Crittenden (Crystal); brother, Robert Crittenden (Alice); grandchildren, Alex Crittenden (Punya), Nicole Betancourt (Daniel), Brett Crittenden (Jessica), Courtney Chapin (Chris), Braden Crittenden, Eli Abernathy; great-grandchildren, Zoya Crittenden, Cooper, Liam, Maddox, and Madelyn Betancourt, Lilian Crittenden, Ashlyn and Adley Maddox.
He was preceded in death by his parents, David Albert & Maudie (Lewis) Crittenden; and brothers, JD, Billy Joe, Harold Floyd, Arnold, and John Crittenden.
The pallbearers will be Alex Crittenden, Brett Crittenden, Braden Crittenden, Eli Abernathy, Daniel Betancourt, and Scott Shaw.
