Leo Lavie Garrett of Moulton, Alabama passed away on July 9, 2025, at the age of 80.
Visitation will be Tuesday, August 12, 2025, 11 AM to 12 PM at Roselawn Funeral Home in Decatur. Funeral service will follow at 12 PM in the chapel with Judy Letson officiating. Burial will be at Midway Memorial Gardens. Elkins Funeral Home is honored to assist the family.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Garrett; parents, Lavie and Catherine Garrett; his nine brothers and sisters and nine brothers and sisters in law.
Mr. Garrett is survived by his daughters, Vickie Chittam and Susan Norman (Steve); grandsons, Blake Hokett and Collin Chittam (Jayme); great grandsons, Jaiden Hokett, Jaxon Barrett, and Cooper Chittam; great granddaughter, Claire Chittam; many nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Blake Hokett, Jaiden Hokett, Collin Chittam, Jerry Cottingham, Allen Amerson, and Branden Freye-Terrell.
The family would like to express thanks to those that helped them and showed kindness at NHC and to Hospice of the Valley.
