Lenuel M. “Len” Tate, 81, of Middletown, passed away on December 21, 2024, at Community Hospital Anderson. He was born on November 14, 1943, in Waylon Springs, Tennessee.
Len served his country in the US Navy. and retired from General Motors after 38 years in skilled trades.
He was a member of the American Legion and enjoyed his 5 o’clock ride, tinkering with old cars, gardening, and walks.
Len is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Georgia Tate; children, Cristopher (Robyn) Tate, Kevin (Regina) Potter, Aaron Tate, Amy Key, and Dustin (Melissa) Tate; grandchildren, Carli Tate, Christian Cooper, Karli Cooper, Lucas Potter, Zachary Potter, Tanner Potter, Tatem Potter, Matthew Tate, Olivia Tate, Chasity Key, Brooklyn Busby, Bryson Busby, Justin Tate, and Kaylin Tate; 9 great-grandchildren; brother, James Teat, mother-in-law, Diane Spearman.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Taylor and Elizabeth Teat; father-in-law, JR Spearman; brother-in-law, Glenn Spearman; and sister-in-law, Doris Teat.
Visitation will be held Saturday, December 28, 2024, 12:30 pm – 2:30 pm at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 West 53rd Street, Anderson, IN 46013 followed by the service at 2:30 pm officiated by Pastor Fred Stevens.
Burial will take place in Blair Cemetery in Westpoint, TN on Monday, December 30, 2024 at 2:00 pm
