Leno Ruth Wakefield, age 96, Haleyville, AL. passed away Thursday February 20, 2025. She loved gardening and was a member of Natural Bridge Church of Christ.
Visitation will be Monday February 24, 2025 from 1:00PM – 3:00PM at Pinkard Funeral Home in Haleyville, AL. Funeral service at 3:00PM in the chapel, with Levi Sides and Vance Hutton officiating. Burial to follow in Lynn Cemetery.
She is survived by her children, Danny (Glenda) Wakefield, Brenda (Tom) Carrington, Lenette (Allen) Baker and Terry (Danny) Farris; sister, Bert Harbin; grandchildren, Daniel (Sandy) Wakefield, Samuel (Lauren) Wakefield, Patrick (Serra) Wakefield, Matthew (April) Carrington, Nancy Carrington, Robert (Sasha) Baker, Benjamin (Jennifer) Baker, Ashley (Jimmy) Thompson, Amanda (Robbie) Jones and Daniel Farris; 24 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren; a host of family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Emmett Amon Gray and Annie Pearl Rose Gray; husband of 55 years, Joel Guy Wakefield; sisters and brothers, Tor Cheatham, Hardy Gray, Theron Gray, Edna Baughn, Audie Pendley, Shirley Horton, Lester Gray and Rose Abbott.
