Mr. Lemual (Lem) Ellis Hanback departed this life on Tuesday, November 13, 2012 at ECM Hospital, Florence, Alabama at the age of 62 Years, 8 Months, 25 Days. He was born February 19, 1950 in South Bend, IN, the son of the late Clendon Hanback and Christine Sherrill Hanback Tank. In addition to his parents, Mr. Hanback was preceded in death by sister, Naomi Hanback.

Mr. Lemual was employed with the Hon Company for 35 years in Florence, AL and was a member of the Piney Grove Freewill Baptist Church where he served as the treasurer and as a member of the Tennessee River FWB Association, he was the clerk and treasure for many years.

He was united in marriage to Iva Banks on July 19, 1976.

He is survived by his wife, Iva Banks Hanback of Cypress Inn, TN; two sons, Lemual Hanback, Jr. and wife, Margaret of Cherokee, Al, Gabriel Hanback of Nashville, TN; a daughter, Rachel Humphres and husband, Kyle of Central, AL; grandchildren, David and Keisha Montgomery; a brother, Joe Hanback and wife, Norma of Collinwood, TN; a sister, Doris Jones of Detroit, MI; step father; Norman Tank of Detroit, MI.

Pallbearers will be Jason Banks, Eric Banks, Kevin Richardson, Dave Montgomery, Brent Gobbell, Doug Stricklin, Tony Cox, and Kyle Humphres.
