Lee Ella King age 90 of Athens, passed away Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at Athens Limestone Hospital. Mrs. King was born May 5, 1925 in Limestone County, AL to Andrew Burdett and Mary VanHoiser Burdett.
Services will be Saturday, July 11, 2015 12:00 p.m., at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Tim Keenum and Donald Terry officiating. Visitation will be Friday, July 10, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be in Limestone Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. King was a member of Sardis Springs Baptist Church.
Preceded in death by her husband, J.B. King; daughter, Wanda Hamby; grandchild, Ballee King.
Survived by two daughters, Betty Tribble and husband, Dennis of Huntsville and Faye Shannon and husband, Jimmy of Ardmore; three sons, Curtis King and wife, Sondra, Rickey King and Gary King and wife, Mary all of Athens; 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Deannie White and husband, Virgil and Geraldine Hobbs both of Athens.
Pallbearers will be Ben King, Michael Broadway, Lucas Broadway, Gilbert Hensley, Ronnie White and Donald King. Honorary pallbearers will be Mark Craig and Greg King.
