Leavie Dell Stockwell, 92, of Iuka, MS, departed this life on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at North Mississippi Medical Center in Iuka. She was employed by Blue Bell Company for over 24 years, before her retirement. Leavie was an avid gardener who spent countless hours in her flowerbeds and enjoyed spending time at home with her family. She was the last surviving child of John Thomas and Mary Cordelia “Delia” Ozbirn Black. She is survived by her children, Robert E. Stockwell, Jr. and Vanessa Dale Bowling; her grandchildren, Christopher Bowling (Beth), Ginger Bowling, and Blake Bowling (Ana’Grace); her great-grandchildren, Nathan Bowling (Savannah), Madison Bowling, Addison Howell, Pearl Bowling, and twins, Creed and Dom Bowling. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Stockwell, Sr.; her parents, John Thomas and Mary Cordelia “Delia” Ozbirn Black; and her siblings, Earlie Black Malone, Lloyd Black, Floyd Willis “Bud” Black, Shirley Onell Black Clark, Mae Drew Black Ray, and Ruby Mae Black Rast. Cutshall Funeral Home of Iuka, MS is entrusted with the arrangements. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m., Friday, December 13, graveside at Rutledge Salem Cemetery. Services will be officiated by Bro. Franky Smith. Pallbearers will be Scott Woodruff, Mack Wilemon, Roger Pounders, Blake Bowling, James Murphy, and Jeff Hopkins.
