Learon West, 83 departed this earthly life to receive his final reward on Saturday, December 2nd surrounded by family and friends.
To know Learon was to know the true meaning of love, life and laughter. Learon brought life and laughter to everyone who had the privilege to know him. You could always count on Learon to come with a smile and a joke to tell. He loved the Lord and was a dedicated faithful servant and minister for 58 years.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at New Hope Holy Church of Christ, funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in the adjoining cemetery. David Farris, Gary Jakes, Bobby Smith and Michael Jackson will officiate.
He was preceded in death by his Parents-Oscar and IV West; Brothers-Doyce West and Sammy West; Sister-Sharon Steadman.
He is survived by his Beloved wife of 41 years-Mary West; Sisters-Charlene Benson, Gayle Blackwell and Doris McCauley; A host of nieces and nephews.
