LeAnne Louise Smith, 51, of Hamden, CT went home to be with her Lord and Savior on November 19, 2025 surrounded by the love of her family and the peace of God.

Born April 27, 1974 to James and Betty Smith, LeAnne grew up in a large, faith-filled family. She was a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and lived every day as a reflection of Christ’s love- planning with purpose, serving joyfully in her church, pouring her heart into family, quietly ministering to others, tending her garden, loving fiercely and gently, being the calm peacemaker in every storm, crafting beautiful gifts that blessed countless lives and enjoying books and puzzles. She dedicated her time and talents to the youth in her church with callings in the Young Women’s and Seminary programs, leading with her radiant smile and unshakeable trust in the Lord, and keeping everyone laughing with her quick, witty sense of humor.

For more than 20 years LeAnne proudly worked for Cartus where she rose to the role of Global Wage and Compensation Reporting manager.

LeAnne was a beloved daughter of James and Betty Smith of Littleville AL, and a cherished sister of Eric (Laura) Smith, Lisa (Wayne) Flannagin, Bridgette Smith, Murry (Tara) Smith, Teri (Jason) Johnson, Anna (Josh) Steinke, Rachael (James) McGuire, and Chris (Mary) Smith. She is survived by her parents, siblings and their spouses, many adored nieces and nephews and a wide circle of friends who became family.

A Memorial Service celebrating LeAnne’s life will be held Sunday, November 30, 2025 at 5 p.m. at the building of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Russellville Ward, 151 Carney Lane, Russellville, AL.
