FLORENCE-The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office issued a statement on a drug bust that has netted over 4000 pills including Meth and Fentanyl:
“On 07/18/2022 Agents with the Lauderdale County Drug Task Force executed a search warrant on High St in Florence. A search of the residence revealed approximately 6 pounds Methamphetamine (ICE) and over a pound of Fentanyl Pills. The count of the pills are in excess of 4200 pills. The street value of the Fentanyl pills and Ice is approximately $64,000.
An arrest warrant will be obtained on the suspect for the following charges.
Trafficking in Methamphetamine
Trafficking in Illegal Drugs (Fentanyl)
Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
The investigation continues and additional arrests and additional charges are anticipated.
The Florence Police Department and Lauderdale County SherrifPs Office assisted the Lauderdale County Drug Task Force in making the case. Over the past 2 months the Lauderdale County Drug Task Force has seized over 11,200 Fentanyl pills”.
