LAUDERDALE COUNTY-The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Department reports a a standoff with an armed individual resulting from a vehicle pursuit that was initiated in Florence. During the chase the driver of the vehicle fired shots at a Lauderdale County deputy.
The standoff is located in Walnut Grove, Tennessee. Also involved in this incident are the Florence Police and the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office:
“The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office, along with Florence Police and Hardin County Sheriff’s Office are currently in a standoff with an armed individual inside a vehicle with two hostages on Hwy 69 (AL Hwy 20).
The incident stems from a vehicle pursuit that was initiated in Florence. During the pursuit the driver fired shots at a Lauderdale County Deputy. Avoid the area if possible.
