Lawrence Howard Ivey, age 77 of Sumiton, passed away Wednesday May 6, 2018. He was a caring and loving family man. He loved everyone especially his granddaughter, Maggie. For 55 years, he has been a faithful and dedicated member of Dilworth Church of God where he also served on Men’s council for many years.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 18, 2018 at2:00 pm at Dilworth Church of God (3688 Hull Road, Empire, Al)
Rev. Nelson Kimberly will be officiating. Burial will follow at Dilworth Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm at the church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Pearl Hammers and Lester Ivey; and brother, Lonzell Ivey.
Survivors include wife, Margaret Ivey; daughter, Michelle (Richard) Wilson; granddaughter, Maggie; other relatives and many friends.
