Lawrence County VICE Narcotics Unit Makes Multiple Arrests in Speake Community Drug Investigation

LAWRENCE COUNTY-After a months-long investigation, the Lawrence County VICE Narcotics Unit has arrested multiple individuals in connection with illicit drug sales in the Speake community.
Agents launched the investigation following numerous complaints from community members regarding ongoing criminal activity in the area. As a result of the operation, search warrants were executed, leading to the seizure of significant quantities of illegal narcotics, firearms, and drug paraphernalia.
Authorities recovered approximately 100+ grams of methamphetamine, 26 grams of synthetic marijuana, 14 grams of marijuana, multiple firearms, and drug-related paraphernalia. The following individuals were taken into custody and charged accordingly:
• Maggie Hanna – Possession with Intent to Distribute, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of Marijuana II.
• Thabiti Hill – Tampering with Physical Evidence.
• Donald Ray Hewlette – Possession of a Controlled Substance, Certain Persons Forbidden, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
• Jeremy Orr – Trafficking in Methamphetamine.
All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
