Lawana Rhonett Hembree Bunn, age 64, beloved wife of Jeff Bunn, and a resident of Ethridge, Tennessee, passed away on Monday, April 1, 2024, at her residence.
Born on February 29, 1960, in Douglasville, Georgia, Lawana was the daughter of the late Homer Frank Hembree and the late Janelle Hunt Hembree. She was a 1978 graduate of Stockbridge High School in Henry County, Georgia, and married Jeff Bunn on July 18, 1981. They later moved to Collinsville, Mississippi, where they lived for ten years before making their home in Ethridge, Tennessee. She loved fishing, watching Nascar on Sundays, and watching baseball, especially the Atlanta Braves. Above all, she loved her family, especially her children and grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her sons, Jeffrey (Amber) Bunn, Jr. of Knoxville, TN, James (Martny) Bunn of Ethridge, TN, Joseph (Nicole) Bunn of Franklin, TN, sister, Dianne (Frank) Stanko of Hiram, GA, grandchildren, Leiam Bunn, Lilly Bunn, Jaden (Zach) Hainline, Jaci Bunn, Jaxen Bunn, Jase Bunn, Jaley Bunn, Jansen Bunn, Jameson Bunn, and Lincoln Bunn, brothers and sisters in law, Phil (Karen) Bunn, Glen (Donna) Bunn, Connie Bunn, and Murray Ragsdale, special cousin, Winndell Ebaheart, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, August Charles Bunn, sister, Nancy Ragsdale, and mother and father in law, Anna Pearl & Henry Bunn.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2024, from 2:00 – 4:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home in Columbia.
