Funeral service for Laverne Bates Dobbins, 89, of Hartselle will be Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at 1:00PM at Peck Funeral Home with Bro. Charles Forman officiating. Burial will be at Johnson Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday May 26, 2015 from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at the funeral home.
Mrs. Dobbins died Sunday May 24, 2015. She was born August 7, 1925 in Lawrence County to W.R. Bates and Virgie Callahan Bates. Mrs. Dobbins was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ralph Dobbins; grandson, Jeffery Steel; son-in-law, Tommy Putman; two brothers and five sisters.
