Lavelle Young, 70, passed away Friday, February 24, 2017, at her residence. She was born July 14, 1946 to the late Freddie C. Underwood and the late Ethel Marie Mansell Underwood. She had several jobs through the years, until settling in with her husband, Wayne, to help run the family business, Young Construction. She enjoyed spending time with her kids and grandkids, also enjoyed reading and antiques.
Services will be 11:00 am on Monday February 20, 2017 at Senter Funeral Home with Bro. Jackie Gray and Bro. Billy Burleson officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 – 8:00 Sunday, Feb. 26, 2017 at Senter Funeral Home. Senter Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Survivors include her Sons: Jimmy Young and Bryon (Denise) Young; Daughters: Sonya (Craig) King, Rebecca (Jerry) Mabus, Melissa Thomas, Tia Roberts, and Summer (John) Carpenter; Granddaughters: Kayla (John Evan) Jackson, Katie Kendrick, Courtney (Jacob) Lesley, Gracie Mitchell, and Tarica Lesley; Grandsons: Dustin Roberts, Blake Roberts, Drew Lesley, Jacob Mabus, Ben Mabus, and J.W. Young; Great-grandsons: Kash Wilson, Kaison Roberts, Austin Roberts, Raiden Oswalt, and Matthew Wilson; Great-granddaughter, A.J. Norton, Lilly Norton, and Skye Lesley; Sister, Ovie Mae Jenkins of Batesville, MS.
Preceded in death by her parents, Husband, Edward Wayne Young, Granddaughter, Alex Warren, Grandsons: Austin Allen Roberts and Bradley Carpenter, also by several brothers and sisters
