Laura Maude Flannagan, age 83, passed away Nov. 2, 2015. Visitation will be today from 6-8 p.m. at Spry-Williams Funeral Home. The funeral service will be Friday, Nov. 6, at noon in the funeral home chapel with Brother Josh McGuire officiating. Burial will be at Glendale Cemetery, Leighton.
Mrs. Flannagan was a member of Spring Valley Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and will be missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Essie Brannon; daughter, Doris Flannagan; brothers, Leamon, Freeman, Harvey, Fred and Johnny Brannon; and sisters, Decie Long and Flora Riner.
Surviving her is her loving husband of 67 years, Gene Flannagan; children, Billy (Tona) Flannagan, Barbara (Curtis) Campbell, Dianne Flannagan, Larry (Teresa) Flannagan, Kenneth (Donna) Flannagan, Ruby (Lynn) Robbins, Donna (Ken) Bailey, and Dwight Flannagan; brother, Jack Brannon; 17 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Chip Bailey, Michael Robbins, Jamie Flannagan, Jason Flannagan, Chris Gargis and Ben McGuire.
