Laura, the daughter of the late David and Orene White, was a member of the Kingdom Hall of the Jehovah’s Witnesses, East Decatur.  On October 17, 1977, Laura dedicated her life to Jehovah and remained a faithful Jehovah’s Witness member until her death.  Before her health failed she would witness and talk to people about God’s Kingdom.  Laura will be remembered for her quiet, beautiful smile by those who knew her.  She will be truly missed.

Laura graduated from Central High School in Courtland, Alabama and from Cosmetology School in Birmingham, Alabama.  She relocated to Brooklyn, New York in the 1960’s where she continued her profession in cosmotology.  Her expertise in her field rendered her a large clientele.  She later entered the health care field, a job she loved caring for individuals in need.  After a long career in New York she returned to her hometown in North Courtland, Alabama.
