FLORENCE-Kelli Pitts was indicted by the Lauderdale County Grand Jury and arrested on November 23 for two counts of Possession of a Forged Instrument and two counts of Theft of Property 3rd degree.

The indictment stemmed from a 2022 incident where Pitts was working with a home healthcare company and was assigned to assist in caring for a local woman. The woman’s husband noticed their checkbook had been manipulated. He later received a notification from his bank asking him if he approved a $2900 check.

After further investigation, the case was sent to the Lauderdale County Grand Jury. Kelli Marie Pitts is being held at the Lauderdale County Detention Center on a $3,500 bond.

Kelli Marie Pitts is presumed innocent until proven guilty.
