Larry Woods, 68, of Waterloo, passed into eternal life on October 27, 2012. He was born July 12, 1944 to the late J.C. and Edith Irons Woods. His visitation will be Tuesday, October 30th from 10:30 am until 2 pm at Cloverdale Baptist Church. His funeral service will follow at 2 pm with Ricky Kennedy and Bob Carriveau officiating. Burial will follow in Canaan Cemetery.
Larry was an active member of Cloverdale Baptist Church, singing with The Jubilation Singing Group. He was a truck driver for Thacker Casket Company and an avid Alabama football fan.
He is survived by his wife, Millie Woods, of Waterloo; son, Shane Woods (Misty), of Nettleton, MS; daughter, Renee Svoboda, of Naples, FL; step daughters, Rene Hunter, of Waterloo; Jamie Burk (Jeff), of Mt. Julet, TN; step son, Bobby Payne, of Waterloo; seven grandchildren; two great grandchildren; brothers, Sonny, Eddy, Steve, and Gene Woods, all of Florence, Jimmy Woods, of Waterloo, David Woods, of Spring City, TN; sisters, Connie Woods, of Florence, and Shelia Duncan, of Ecru, MS; special niece, Stephanie Hunt, and 19 other nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be his brothers.
