Larry Wilson, 79 of Arab, The Hopewell Community, died Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at his residence.
Mr. Wilson was born December 5, 1937 in Marshall County to Josh Wilson and Nell Barcliff Wilson. He was a cattle farmer and was married to the former Lillian Marie Hastings for 61 years. Mr. Wilson loved cattle farming, bailing hay, taking care of his farm and spending time with his family.
He was a member of Arab Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife: Marie Wilson; his sons and daughter-in-law: Duane and Lee Wilson and Timothy “Tim” Wilson; a granddaughter: Tanya Marie Wilson; three brothers and sisters-in-law: Steve and Janice Wilson, Joe Wilson and Will and Mary Wilson. He was preceded in death by his parents: Josh and Nell Wilson; a brother: Jimmy Wilson and a sister: Frances Tielking.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday March 30, 2017 at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel with Brother: Ken Tyler, officiating. Burial will be in Brocks Chapel cemetery with Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel, directing.
Pallbearers will be Joe Norris, Jim Hendrix, Vaughn Warren, Joe Collier, Frank Smith and Danny Hughes.
Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel prior to the service.
