Larry Wayne Turner, 73 of Arab passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2022, at Shepherd’s Cove Hospice. Larry was born July 23, 1948, in Haleyville, Alabama the son of Riley V. Turner and Willodean Hyatt Turner. He attended Arab High School and served his country in the US Marine Corp during the Vietnam War. He later attended Athens State College and was retired from the State of Alabama as a project engineer. He was a lifelong member of the Arab First Baptist Church.
He is survived by his Wife: Vanessa McKinney Turner, Daughter: Amy Griep (Casey), Son: Larry Turner, Jr., Grandchildren: Corey Turner, Joey Turner, Katy Turner and Zac Dunn, Brother: Dwight “Tuffy” Turner, Stepbrother: Bruce Weaver. He was preceded by his Parents: Riley V. Turner and Willodean Turner Weaver, Sisters: Aneita Payne and Donna Cleland.
Funeral Service will be 3:00 p.m. Saturday, July 16, 2022, at Gober Funeral Chapel. Cremation will follow the service. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. until service time at 3:00 p.m. Saturday at Gober Funeral Chapel.
