Larry Wayne Lockhart, of Horton, passed away on September 26, 2026, at age 69.
He worked at Mueller for 37 years as a grinder operator in the foundry and later as a forklift driver. He had a passion for word working and refinishing when he was still able and loved his yorkie, Mocha, and Alabama football.
His funeral service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 30, 2026, at Albertville Memorial Chapel. He will be laid to rest at Oak Hill Cemetery. Bro. Glenn Pankey will officiate the service. The pallbearers will be Brent Harris, Jared Dennis, Tommy Sisson, Seth Rudy, Jeremy Maddox, and Daniel Blackwell. Friends can visit from 12 p.m. until 2 p.m. on Wednesday before the service at the funeral home.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years; Phyllis Lockhart, in 2020, father; Raymond W Lockhart, mother; Lula Belle Lockhart, brother; Wille Raymond Lockhart, and brother-in-law; Billy Rhudy.
He is survived by his son and daughter-n-law; Timothy and Becky Lockhart, sisters; Lulla Mae Griffin and Rhonda Rhudy, and a host of beloved nieces and nephews.
