Larry Wayne Johnson, 76, of Decatur, AL, passed away on February 15, 2024. His visitation will be Monday February 19th from 3pm to 4pm at Roselawn Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest at a Graveside service at 4 pm at Roselawn Cemetery. Bro. Devin Hudson is officiating.
Larry is survived by his wife of 42 years, Janet Smith Johnson of Decatur, daughter, Jessica Crumpton(Chris)of Decatur, daughter, Kim Linley(Gary) of Priceville, daughter Laura Olive(Franklin), and son Tracy Johnson(Megan), of Priceville. Grandchildren, Addie, Tatum, Brittni, Lance, Trent, Tyler, Ella, Lannah, and Ashlyn. Great-grandchildren, Kailey and Gavin, sisters, Carol Montgomery, and Kathy Harbin(Al),Brother, Kenneth Johnson.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Alva Austin Johnson and Anna Lee Vice, sisters, Frances Childers and Martha Gail Johnson Stewart.
Larry retired from Toray after many years of service. Besides work, he enjoyed watching Alabama football, hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandkids. Larry loved to tell jokes and reminisce with his family.
Pallbearers will be Tracy Johnson, Franklin Olive, Chris Crumpton, Lance Angel, Trent Angel, and Tyler Olive.
