Cheryl was adept at cultivating long-lasting friendships. She truly treasured her many close relationships and always enjoyed plans to dine and shop with her lady friends. Having married a Mississippi State graduate and being the proud mother to 3 MSU graduates, she was always proud to wear maroon and white as well as ring those cowbells!

Following the death of her husband, she moved to Madison, MS in 2020 to be closer to her daughter and family. Cheryl’s ability to cultivate friendships continued after her move. She was invited to join the Recess Luncheon Club in Jackson, MS which broadened her circle of friends.
She was predeceased by her husband, her parents, and her brother Phillip Frazier.
Cheryl leaves behind a legacy of love and laughter. She is survived by her children, David Manning Lyon (Brooke), Anna Lyon Killingsworth (Ryan) and George Maxwell Lyon (Cameron) and her beloved grandchildren Kate Killingsworth, Davis and Grant Lyon, and Ivy Lyon.
