Larry Wathan Wood
(June 3, 1940 – May 7, 2016)
Larry passed away on May 7th with his children by his side. Born June 3, 1940 in Denton, Texas, Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Mildred Wood, and his brother, Kent.
Larry is survived by: his children Andrew and Sandra Wood; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Analyn Baker and Sylvia Singleton. Larry lived in Huntsville 46 years. He served his country in the Air Force from 1960- 1963 and with NASA on the Lunar Orbiter, Apollo, and Shuttle programs, retiring in 1997.
Larry will be laid to rest beside his parents in Maple Hill Cemetery. Berryhill Funeral Home is assisting the family.
