Larry Richard Motes, 70 of Cherokee, died on Friday, February 28, 2020. There will be a funeral service held in his memory on Friday, March 6, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Morrison Funeral Home in Cherokee. Burial will follow in Hopewell Cemetery in Hanceville.
Mr. Motes was a native of Russellville and grew up in Sheffield. He was a United States Air Force Veteran and a believer in Jesus.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Ann Motes; sons, Richard Cody Motes and wife, Lucy, Matthew Motes and wife, Debra, and Nathan Motes and wife, Amber; daughter, Meghan Mattson and husband, J.J.; brother, Ronnie Motes; and grandchildren, Anthony Motes and Jamie and Brycen Mattson.
Serving as pallbearers are Keith Motes, Chad Motes, Michael Motes, Dylan Motes, J.J. Mattson, Jamie Mattson and John Fincher.
