Arrangements for Mr. Larry Louis Hughes, age 71, of Decatur, will be announced by Shelton Funeral Home.
Mr. Hughes, who died Tuesday, October 22, 2019, at Huntsville Hospital, was born December 5, 1947, in Decatur, to Zeke Hughes and Mary Richey Hughes. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters, Jewel Harvey and Faye Carey. Mr. Hughes worked as a heavy equipment operator for the City of Decatur, and was an avid fisherman.
He is survived by his loving wife, Robbin Crow Hughes of Decatur; one son, Mark Hughes of Decatur; two brothers, Roger Hughes (Patsy) and Connie Hughes (Betty), both of Hartselle; one sister, Theresa Hanes (Jim) of Hartselle.
