Mr. Larry Lee Tate, age 75, of Scottsboro, Alabama passed away on Wednesday, June 25, 2025. He was a Marine Corp veteran and a member of the American Legion as well as a recipient of the Purple Heart, Combat Action Ribbon, National Defense Service Medal and Vietnam Service Medal. He was a member of Center Point Baptist Church. He was a family man and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Larry was a Man of God.
He is survived by his wife, Ann Tate; sons, Brent (Jackie) Tate, Heath (Ta’Mekka) Tate; 9 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; sister, Sheryl Blum; brothers, Bryan Tate, Jeffery Tate; and a host of other close family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Jacob Daniel Tate; parents, William Ford and Ruby J. Tate; brother in-law, Jerry Blum; sister in-law, Debbie Tate.
Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, June 28th, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Scottsboro Funeral Home with Pastor David Moorman and Ty Tate officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery. The Family will receive friends on Friday, June 27, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
